2024 IMEA Lineworkers Rodeo
On behalf of the IMEA Board of Directors and Staff, we are proud to announce the return of the
IMEA Lineworkers’ Rodeo.
When it comes to service - linemen are the epitome of sacrifice. Today there are fewer than
260,000 linemen in the U.S. some of them at any given hour are working hard restoring services
from east to west and north to south. They are heroes to communities in times of outages and
natural disasters. Lineman remain dedicated to keeping the legacy of the pioneering lineman
before them alive.
The term “LINEMAN” has evolved to include a wide array of job responsibilities requiring
rigorous training programs to keep pace with technology and the increasing demands of your
customer base. In fact, IMEA’s training programs have experienced tremendous growth.
The Lineworkers’ Rodeo is intended to showcase the knowledge skills and abilities of linemen in
a fun and safe and family friendly environment. Rodeos are a competition/fellowship that are
intended to strengthen the lineman’s skills and improve them in areas of safety and teamwork.

A special thanks to our outstanding host the City of Lawrenceburg and Lawrenceburg Municipal
Utilities. Lawrenceburg is rich in public power history and one of the founding members of
IMEA and continues to play an integral part of the organization as we grow and flourish. While
visiting, I encourage you to get out and explore the beautiful city and enjoy the Lawrenceburg
Fall Music Fest.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation, hotel and meal expenses en route and during the Rodeo.
IMEA Annual Business Meeting & Vendor Expo provides an opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with peers. It attracts all levels of the Indiana utility professionals and staff from member communities, as well as IMEA staff.
The conference features educational sessions on technical programs focused on the utility industry. It also provides an opportunity to collaborate with other utilities one on one during the IMEA business meeting.
In order to make sure that all guest are provided hotel room availability we ask that you reserve your room ahead of time. This way we are able to keep track of quantity and increase the group block if needed.
