Frank R. Rudolph Award

Nomination Form

Frank R. Rudolph Award, the association's most prestigious honor. Francis R. Rudolph was utility manager in Greendale, Indiana, for more than 37 years. This award is given to individuals who continuously make significant contributions to public power and their community they serve. 

Eligibility 

Any employee of an IMEA Member Utility who has been an active participant in Public Power for at least 15 years is eligible.

Criteria

Nominees should:

  • have contributed to the electric utility industry generally through their achievements or sustained performance

  • have contributed substantially to public power
  • have been widely recognized within the state and the association

We hope that you will take the time to participate by recognizing someone in your Electric utility who contributes and demonstrates all of these efforts in his or her community, he or, she serves. Once chosen by IMEA Board of Directors, both IMEA Board of Directors and Staff will present the award to our chosen recipient at the 2022 Annual evening banquet held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

 2022 IMEA LINEWORKERS RODEO

The IMEA Indiana Lineworkers’ Rodeo hosted by the City of Lawrenceburg & Lawrenceburg Municipal Utility is the state’s most energizing safety and training event. The only one of its kind for public power lineworkers in the state, the interactive, competitive event is designed to showcase the skills and knowledge of a lineworker in a fun and safe environment.  The event is open to anyone who is a practicing lineworker in a municipally owned and operated electric utility and/or rural cooperative in Indiana and surrounding states.

The rodeo features two levels of competition: journeyman team, and apprentice. There are four events for apprentices, and four in the team category.  Three of the four will be provided as Mystery events with the fourth as Pole Top Rescue. We hope you will join us for our two-day event on Friday, September 23 & Saturday, September 24 with a cookout and awards following the conclusion of the event.
