The primary purpose of INSULATE and ISOLATE is to guard workers from any two simultaneous points of contacts with energized and/or any grounded conductors (difference of potential). This includes wires, poles, cross arms, equipment or anything that is at a different potential. (Second point of contact.) Properly performed Insulate and Isolate techniques used in conjunction with the necessary Insulating Personal Protective Equipment (IPPE) allows a qualified line worker to safely work on and around energized equipment and conductors.
Topics covered during this workshop include:
*Effective cover-up *Extended reach *Insulated *Isolate
*Insulating Personal Protective Equipment (IPPE) * Second points of contact
*Minimum Approach Distance (M.A.D.) *Insulating Protective Equipment (IPE)

REGISTRATION FEE (lunch and refreshments provided):
IMEA Safety Program Member: $300.00 per person
IMEA Member: $450.00 per person
Non-IMEA Member: $600.00 per person
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received 5 days prior to the start date of class. After that date, fees will be charged for expenses incurred by IMEA.
Certificates of completion will be provided for each participant
