Excavation Competent Person Workshop Lebanon, In. January 26,2022 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Participants will engage in classroom activities including OSHA standards, soil classification, and the selection of protective systems. After completion, participants will be able to:
• Recognize potential excavation hazards on a construction jobsite
• Explain the role of a competent person at an excavation
• List the different soil classifications and their main properties
• Identify ways to protect yourself when working near excavations
• Describe ways to properly access excavations
• Determine what to do in the event of an excavation cave-in
